本種は日本と台湾に分布する。寄主植物はクワ、イヌビワ、カナムグラなどのクワ科の葉。P. darciは本種に似るが前胸背板に1対の褐色の縦帯を持つことで識別できる。

This species is distributed in Japan and Taiwan. It breeds on the leaves of Moraceae such as Morus bombycis, Ficus erecta and Humulus japonicus. P. darci is very similar to this species but it can be distinguished from this species by having the pronotum with paired dark longitudinal bands.
